There's a process for truing tires that very much the same as truing grinding wheels and it too makes a BIG difference. But we are not here to talk about tires. I trued it. That got rid of the chalky garbage that was on the wheel.

Sep 12, 2007 · I use a grinding wheel when heavy material removal is needed. I use a flap disc for less material removal. I have several different grits but 60 and 80 is my favorite. I use the flap discs for rust/paint/ dirt removal and for deburring and rounding edges. I have used many brands, but I buy Walter for grinding wheels and flap discs from my LWS.
